STRAWBERRY POINT: Funeral services for Mrs. E. F. Donath were held at the home Thursday afternoon, conducted by the Rev. Carrie V. Lucas, pastor of the church. Two favorite hymns of the deceased were sung by Mr. and Mrs. Ed. Angier, Mrs. John Knight played the accompaniment. Interment was made in the local cemetery. The pallbearers were: C. C. Huntley, E. F. Opperman, Emanuel Osborne, Eldon Stafford, Malan Barnes and Don Bowman.
Mary Ella Antrim, daughter of the late John and Louise Antrim, was born in Fort Dodge, Iowa, on June 25, 1874, and died at her home here last Tuesday, Oct. 20, 1936. She came with her parents at about the age of six to this community, and has since resided in Strawberry Point. On Feb. 19, 1895, she was united in marriage to Jacob J. Adams, who died Aug. 15, 1933. On Sept. 20, 1934, she was united in marriage to Edward F. Donath. Surviving are her husband, an adopted daughter, Mrs. Pearl Kuehn, two step-daughters and two step-sons; also one sister and two brothers; Mrs. Anna Bowers and William Antrim of Strawberry Point, and Edward Antrim of Garnavillo; besides other relatives and a large circle of friends.
Until her death failed her, she was a great church worker, being a member of the Baptist church. She was a member of the Royal Neighbors lodge. Her neighbors and friends will miss her kindly ways.
