Funeral Services for Daniel Donahue, 72, of Marquette, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church Sunday morning, Rev. J. J. Horsfield officiating.
Daniel Donahue was born in Sabula, Iowa, October 03, 1864, the son of Timothy and Kathryne Donahue. He was married to Amelia Grandreth Nov. 15, 1886, at Glen Haven, Wis. He was employed by the Milwaukee Railroad for 45 years as section foreman, tank man and machinist helper. He was affiliated with the Catholic order of Foresters, Modern Woodmen of America and National Park Lodge of Machinists. He served as a member of the town council and the school board at different times in his life. He died Sept. 24, 1936, at his home in Marquette, after a week's illness following a stroke of paralysis. He is survived by his wife, one son, Ernest, of Marquette, three daughters, Mrs. G. H. Dahman and Mrs. H. E. Cole, of Marquette, and Mrs. W. H. Collotin of Mason City; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
