Clayton County Register, 08 July 1936.

William Follman, long-time resident of Guttenberg, passed away at Mercy hospital at Dubuque on Friday morning, following a several months' illness. He was 57 years old. Mr. Follman was born on a farm near Littleport, where he grew to young manhood, later coming to Guttenberg to reside, where the remainder of his life was spent. He was married at Guttenberg to Miss Mary Block. His death is mourned by his wife, two sons, two daughters, several grandchildren, several sisters and brothers and many other relatives and friends. Funeral services were held at the Follman home here on Sunday afternoon, with interment in the City cemetery. The funeral was largely attended.
