John O'Neil, 82, died at his home here Tuesday afternoon at 5 o'clock. Funeral services will be conducted Thursday morning at 10 o'clock at the Sacred Heart church.

Mr. O'Neil leaves one son, Simon, and three grandchildren, all of Cedar Rapids.

For a number of years Mr. O'Neil and his wife operated the O'Neil Cafe in Volga City. Mr. O'Neil retired from this work two years ago.
