Clayton County Register, 10 June 1936.

Mrs. Wison G. Ridenour, nee Mary Smith, of Garber, died at Elkader on June 05, 1936. She was born at Garber, Iowa, May 04, 1864. On July 03, 1882, she was married to Wilson G. Ridenour, who with three sons, Elmer of Manchester, Glen of Garber, and Claude of Manchester, mourn her loss. One daughter died in infancy. Her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Asa Smith, and two brothers preceded her in death. She leaves four sisters, nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. er illness dates back 41 years, and was of a mental nature, necessitating confinement at the Independence and Elkader Hospitals. Deceased was of the Dunkard faith. Funeral services were conducted on June 07, 1936, by the Rev. H. Hohman of the Evangelical church.
