GUTTENBERG: Mrs. William Rethwisch (nee Henrietta Seippel), pioneer resident of Guttenberg, passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Fred Moser, near Osterdock, at the age of 79 years, following an illness of long duration. Of late she has been making her home with her daughter near Osterdock. Her husband preceded her in death a number of years ago. Mrs. Rethwisch was a woman of pleasing personality, held in high esteem by all in this community. Her death is mourned by four daughters: Mrs. Dick Duwe and Mrs. Ed Duwe of Guttenberg, Mrs. Fred Moser of near Osterdock, and Mrs. Henry Fredelake of Forestburg, S.D.; one son, Peter Rethwisch of Lansing; and a number of grandchildren. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. W. J. F. Adix at St. John's American Lutheran church here on Sunday afternoon, with interment in the City cemetery. The funeral was largely attended by relatives and friends.
