Funeral services for Mrs. C. H. Gaspar, 69, widow of Henry Gaspar, a former roadmaster of the Milwaukee railroad, were held at St. Mary's Catholic church Saturday. Mrs. Gaspar died Thursday night after a week's illness.
Florence Shrom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Shrom, was born in Altministerberg, Germany, Jan. 09, 1867, and died at her home in Marquette. She came to America at the age of 14 years and on August 02, 1887, she was married to Henry Gaspar at Knowlton, Wis. During their married life they lived at Dancy, Wis., Kansas City and at Marquette, where Mr. Gaspar was roadmaster for many years until his death two years ago. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Percy Cleveland, of Marquette; three sisters, Mrs. C. H. Dornback of Tomahawk, Wis.; Miss Emma Shrom of Junction City, Wis., and Mrs. H. T. Howe of Sand Point, Idaho; two brothers, August and Jacob Shrom of Junction City, Wis.; a granddaughter, Mrs. Ray Barr of Marquette, and one grandson, Phillip Barr
Burial was made in the McGregor Catholic cemetery.
