Clayton County Register, 26 Feb. 1936. Monona column.
Funeral services for H. P. Olson were held in Cedar Rapids Thursday morning. Burial was made in the Bohemian Catholic cemetery near Monona Thursday afternoon. Although the funeral cortege arrived in Monona at noon, it was late afternoon before they reached the cemetery, having waited until the snow plow went to the Albert Lestina place, where they broke down, and the remainder of the distance to the cemetery bob sleds were used.
The widow was formerly Miss Antoinette Samek, sister of Henry Samek of near Beulah.
