Funeral services were held Monday afternoon for Mrs. Amanda Jane Minchk, 87, at the home of her sister, Mrs. John Minney, the Rev. J. F. Parsons officiating. Mrs. Minchk was born near Harpers Ferry in Allamakee county on November 29, 1849. Two sons preceded her in death. She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Mogle of Hampton and Mrs. Bertha Sweeney of Filer, Idaho; five grandchildren, one sister, Mrs. Celestina Minney of McGregor; one brother, Ithiel Weir, of Lake Wells, Fla. Burial was made in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
