MONONA: Thomas W. Moses, aged 47, died Monday evening at six o'clock in St. Mary's hospital in Rochester, Minn., where he had gone for medical aid, having been ill for about six months.
Surviving him are the widow, Mrs. Mary Reardon Moses; four brothers, Joseph Moses of Madison, Nebr., Simon E. Moses, John Moses and Jacob R. Moses, all of Monona; his aged mother, Mrs. Catherine Moses, and four sisters, Mrs. Elizabeth McClure of Malcom, Iowa, Mrs. W. B. Ferguson of Farmersburg, and Mrs. Joseph Lotza, Sr., and Mrs. Joseph Tayek, all of Monona; also a large number of nieces and nephews. A brother, Albert Moses, preceded him in death.
Funeral services were held at ten o'clock Friday morning at St. Patrick's Catholic church, the pastor, the Rev. Father Luke Donlon, sang the mass of requiem and said prayers at the grave in the parish cemetery.
Mr. Moses was an industrious and capable farmer in Linton township, serving as school treasurer and on the corn-hog committee in a faithful manner.
The sympathy of the entire community is extended his widow, his mother, and sisters and brothers.
Pall bearers were: Charles Fett, Jr., Jacob J. Tayek, John Seglar, Elmer Topel, John Jermier, Edward C. McAndrew, and Alfred T. Huinker of Monona and Ed. Halen of Waterville.
