MCGREGOR: Funeral services for Philomon B. Luce, 79, were held Friday at his home north of Marquette in the Yellow River valley. Rev. S. F. Kenderdine, pastor of the Methodist church, officiated. Burial was made in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Mr. Luce was born on a farm near the present home, and with the exception of the three years in Waterville has always lived in that vicinity. His parents were pioneers of Fairview township. He was married Nov. 25, 1882, to Miss Mary Gallagher of Waterville. He is survived by his widow and two sons, Gordon and Floyd, both of McGregor. One daughter died last June.
