MCGREGOR: Funeral services for Mrs. Adam Debes, 77, who died at her home in McGregor Sunday night were held at the Methodist church Tuesday afternoon, Rev. S. F. Kenderdine officiating. Burial was in the Pleasant Grove cemetery. Mrs. Debes was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerhart Heimbrodt, and was born on a farm west of McGregor, Feb. 02, 1858. She spent all her life in this community. Her parents were early settlers here. On March 24, 1885, she was married to Adam Debes, living on a farm near McGregor until 1912, when they moved to McGregor. Mr. and Mrs. Debes celebrated their golden wedding anniversary last March. She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Stewart Ellenbolt of McGregor, and Miss Nettie Debes at home; one granddaughter, Shirley Ellenbolt, and one brother, Charles Heimbrodt, of Clinton.
