Funeral Mass for Margaret Mary Meyer, formerly of North Liberty, who died Thursday in Bentonville, Ark., after a short illness, will be 10 a.m. Monday St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Iowa City, with the Rev. Henry Greiner officiating. Burial will be in St. Joseph’s Catholic Cemetery, Iowa City. Friends may call from 7-9 p.m. Saturday and after 9 a.m. Sunday at the Donohue Lensing Mortuary, where a rosary will be recited 8 p.m. Sunday. Friends may contribute to the Vicariate Education Fund.
Mrs. Meyer was born in Strawberry Point, a daughter of John and Margaret Ivory Henry. She married Joseph W. Meyer June 1, 1946, at Strawberry Point. She worked as the assistant director for admissions for the University of Iowa for 20 years. She and her husband had recently moved from North Liberty to Bentonville. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband: three brothers, James of Downey, Calif., Paul of Chicago Heights, Ill., and Richard of Coralville.
