Elkader Register, Thur., 11 July 1912. Elkport and Vicinity column.

The five year old boy of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Noggle was drowned in Elk creek, Saturday. It appears the little fellow undertook to wade the creek, and, not knowing the danger, he waded into a hole about five feet deep and went down. The body was found about a half an hour later. The funeral was held Monday at the Mount Harmony Cemetery. The sympathy of this entire community is extended to the bereaved parents and relatives.
