Geo. Jenkins passed peacefully away at his home here Wednesday morning, after a long siege of sickness. Funeral services were held at St. Patrick's church Saturday morning, March 2nd, at 10 o'clock.

George H. Jenkins, Jr., was born at Garnavillo, Iowa, on May 9th, 1876. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. George H. Jenkins. When he was three years old his parents moved from the old home near Garnavillo to McGregor, where his childhood days were spent. He was educated in the McGregor schools.
In March 1893 he came to Monona and assisted his father in establishing the well known Monona Brick Yards and Monona has been his place of residence since that time.
January 9th, 1901, he married Wilhelmina Agnes Walch and one son, Cornelius, was born to them.
He was a member of the Monona camp Modern Woodmen of America. He leaves to mourn his going away his devoted wife and little son; his father and mother, now of Postville, Iowa; two brothers, Fred, of Fruita, Colo., and Raymond, of San Francisco; three sisters, Mrs. Mate Sherman, of Postville; Mrs. Jessie McNeff and Mrs. DeEti_ Ernst, of Monona.
His death occurred Wednesday, Feb. 28th, 1912, at 8 a.m. Funeral services were from St. Patrick's church Saturday forenoon, March 02nd, Rev. Father Hogan officiating, burial in Catholic cemetery.
