Elkader Register, Thur., 07 Mar. 1912. Read column.
On Wednesday, Feb. 28th, Mrs. Creblin, an aged resident of Clayton County, was buried in Read. She was born in Pommern, Germany, Feb. 4th, 1820, and lived to a hale, old age, having never been sick during her long lifetime, except a few days previous to her demise, her death being caused by the infirmities of old age.
The deceased has lived with her daughter, Mrs. Wm. Gottschalk, on a farm in Pony Hollow ever since the death of her husband, which occurred in 1850, after a union of ten years. The funeral was largely attended, Rev. Burkhard officiating.
