Elkader Register, Thur., 04 Feb. 1892.

Died, at her home in Highland township, January 26th, 1892, of la grippe, Louisa, wife of Charles M. Fritz, in the 36th year of her age. Deceased has lived in Highland township nearly all her life, and was beloved by all who knew her. By her death she leaves an affectionate husband and two daughters, aged 13 and 4 years to mourn the loss of a kind and true companion, and a loving mother. The funeral occurred on Thursday, and was largely attended by relatives and friends who sincerely sympathize with the bereaved family. Services were held at the house by Rev. W. L. Swan, of West Union, after which her remains were laid away to the final rest in the Illyria cemetery.
