Elkader Register, Thur., 16 May 1889.

Daniel O'Leary, of Monona, formerly of Elkader, died at his home in the former place, Sunday afternoon, of consumption. Daniel was a brother to J. P. O'Leary, of this place.

(A further obit in this issue of the paper adds the following information taken from the McGregor Times:)

Died May 12th 1889, aged about 33 years. He was a native of the county.
For some years he had been engaged in the mercantile business in Monona.
He leaves a wife and four children.
Funeral took place at the Catholic church, Father Corbett officiating.
