Elkader Register, Thur., 31 Jan. 1889.

Isaac Bridell, of Wood Center, died at his home in that village on Friday afternoon of last week, after a short sickness from quick consumption. Mr. B. has been a resident of Elk township for a number of years, and for the past two years has been postmaster at Wood. Honest and exact in all his dealings, he was respected by all who knew him, and his funeral, which took place at Edgewood, on Friday, was very largely attended by his neighbors and by the G.A.R. Post, of which he was a member, having served during the late war as a member of the 3rd Minnesota Infantry.
