Elkader Register, Thur., 03 Jan. 1889. Elkport column.

Mrs. Henry Patrick was buried on Sunday last. She was taken sick at the wedding of one of her daughters on Wednesday, the (looks like 19th). At that time she complained of a severe pain in her head which confined her to her bed, from which she did not again rise. It seems that a blood vessel burst in her brain which caused her death. She was well known and respected and loved by all. Her remains were laid to rest in the Hall cemetery.
