Elkader Register, Thur., 01 Mar. 1888.

George Tujetsch, one of the early settlers of Boardman township, died at his home near town, on Sunday morning February 26th, 1888; aged about 53 years.

Deceased was a native of Switzerland, where he was born in 1835. He came to Clayton County with his parents in 1860, and they located on the farm where George died. In 1868 Geo. was married to Miss Maggie Eggley, a native of Germany, and by her has had seven children, four boys and three girls, who with their mother survive him.

The funeral occurred on Tuesday from the Catholic church in Elkader, and was very largely attended by friends and relatives.

Thus ends life's chapter of one of the good and true men of our county, one who was honored and respected by all who knew him, and his memory will ever be kept green by those who knew him best.
