Death has again visited our community and claimed for his own the infant son of Helmuth Brandt, at the tender age of six months. On Monday the 23, a large number of friends gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Brandt, to celebrate the birthday of Mrs. Brandt and to witness the baptism of little Willis. The occasion was one of joy and the participants were royally entertained. Little did they then think that they were so soon to be called again to accompany him to his little grave. He was affected at the time with a severe cold, which soon developed into capillary bronchitis, and although the fond parents did everything in their power to stay the destroyer, though the best of medical skill was called, their efforts were in vain, and on Saturday death ended his suffering. His remains were interred at our cemetery on Monday, followed by many sorrowing and sympathizing friends.
