FATAL ACCIDENT- From Guttenberg we learn that a man named Mott, residing near that place, was accidentally killed Tuesday while chopping wood. He was chopping down a tree, when a limb fell upon him, killing him almost instantly.

On the 26th ult., a sad and fatal accident happened to one of the prosperous young farmers in this vicinity. On that day, Mr. Mott, residing two miles south of Guttenberg, on the Elkport road, went into the timber to cut some wood. As he did not appear at noon, the family became alarmed, and a search revealed his lifeless body crushed under a tree which had fallen upon him. The grief stricken family have the sympathy of our entire community in their affliction. Deceased was about 25 years of age.
