Clayton County Journal, 05 Oct. 1887.

Ida Gertrude, youngest daughter of Samuel and Laura B. Hyde, died of spinal meningitis, on the 26th and was buried the 27th of September, in the Bethel cemetery, aged 10 months and 16 days; funeral services conducted by Rev. W. S. Dorwin of Colesburg. Little Ida was a bright little angel on earth and the idol of the family, but she has gone to meet the blood-washed millions of angels bright in Our Father's home above. She cannot return to us any more, but we can meet her in the bright home above.

Ida has gone to that bright home above.
To be sheltered by Jesus, not mamma's love.
Dear little Ida, yes, she is gone.
Taking the last ray of sunshine from our home.
