Clayton County Journal, 12 Oct. 1887. Highland column.

The fell destroyer has entered the home of Leonard Humphry and taken from him his beloved wife. She was 23 years of age and had been three years a happy wife. Mrs. Humphry was the daughter of C. W. Strong, Mamie as she was familiarly called was a general favorite in the circle which she moved, and her death will leave an aching void in many a heart. The family have the sympathy of the entire community in this their great bereavement.
