Elkader Register, Thur., 21 July 1887. From the McGregor Times, undated.

McGregor Times: - Gustav Larson, residing on the Sni Magill, in Clayton township, was taken sick Sunday night with inflammation of the bowels and Monday night at 7 o'clock died. Gus was well and favorably known; he has resided on this farm about 17 years, and was an industrious and energetic laborer. He leaves a wife and three children, and other relatives in the township to mourn his sudden and unexpected taking off.
