On Saturday evening last, at his late residence in this township, occurred the death of James Reardon, one of the early settlers of Clayton County, after a very short illness.
Mr. Reardon was a native of Ireland, but his parents having moved to England while he was a young boy he was reared in London. He located in this county some thirty years ago, and has lived among us continuously since. He was nearly 5_ years of age, and leaves an aged wife, two sons and two daughters to mourn his death.
The funeral occurred on Tuesday, his remains being followed to their last resting place in the Catholic cemetery by a large number of mourning friends and relatives. He was an honest man, and by his honorable dealings had made many friends who will long mourn his death.
