Clayton County Journal, 24 Nov. 1886.

The funeral of Mrs. John Lampman who died Nov. 17, at her home in Highland township, took place at the Union church Saturday, Rev. Montgomery officiating. A huge procession followed the remains which shows the high esteem in which she was held by her many friends. She leaves a husband and four children to mourn her loss. May the Heavenly Father cheer them as only He can.
