Nick Anton, aged 59 years, a former resident of this place, but for the past eleven years of Cedar Rapids passed away at the hospital Wednesday afternoon after a lingering illness.

The body was brought here Friday morning for interment. Brief services were held at the grave conducted by Rev. A. A. Brooks of Cedar Rapids. He is survived by his wife, formerly Miss Effie Weig and three sons and one daughter: Glenn, Dearborn, Mich.; Francis, Cedar Rapids; John, Mason City; and Mrs. Melvin Mars, Cedar Rapids; also two sisters and two brothers, Mrs. John Kramer, Strawberry Point; Mrs. Agnes Hostetter, Decatur, Ill.; Henry Anton, Strawberry Point and Joe Anton of Moline, Ill., besides other relatives and friends.
