Clayton County Register, Thur., 19 Nov. 1931.

MCGREGOR: Wm. Bergman, a life long resident of McGregor, died at the Finley Hospital at Dubuque Saturday. He leaves to mourn his departure his widow and one daughter, Harriet, Mrs. Lester Schwinn, of Dubuque and two brothers, Edward of McGregor, and Ernest of Calmar. Funeral services were held from the home here Monday afternoon. Rev. J. Franklin Parsons officiated. Interment was in Pleasant Grove cemetery.
