MCGREGOR: Friends here were shocked to hear of the death of Mrs. Catherine Cassidy at Mercy hospital at Dubuque, after a short illness, Wednesday afternoon. Mrs. Cassidy was born at Waterville, Ia., Feb. 26, 1855, and was a resident of McGregor from 1891 to 1924, when she moved to Dubuque. She leaves to mourn her loss her two sons, Leo, of Dubuque, and John, of Minneapolis. Her husband preceded her in death about 15 years ago. The funeral services were held here Saturday morning at 10:30 at St. Mary's church. Rev. J. J. Horsfield officiated and interment was in St. Mary's cemetery. The family has the sympathy of this community.
