Mrs. Mary Reichert*, (nee Dahling) was born in Mecklenburg, Germany, Oct. 16, 1843, and died June 28. At the age of 12 she came to this country and lived at Littleport, Iowa, from that time until 1914, when her husband departed this life. She then moved to Dubuque to live with her daughter, Mrs. Romig. She was married on Sept. 03, 1861, to Fred Reichert. To this union 11 children were born, four of which preceded her in death. She was a life-long member of the Lutheran church at Littleport and attended Lutheran church at Dubuque while there. She leaves to mourn: Mrs. Auguste Romig, Mrs. Louise Christe, Mrs. Ida Czerick, all of Dubuque; Mrs. Wm. Koehn, Elkader, Mrs. Clara Neumeister, Chicago; two sons, Charles and William of Littleport; 16 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.

Funeral and interment were held June 30 at Littleport, Rev. F. E. Damm in charge. Deceased had reached the advanced age of 87 years, eight months and 12 days, at the time of her demise.
