Funeral services for Henry Frederick were held Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock at the Lutheran church here, conducted by the pastor, Rev. M. O, Jahr. Mr. Frederick died Thursday evening following a lingering illness. Interment took place in the local cemetery.

He was born in New York state in 1853 and was married to Miss Elizabeth Schug in 1880, who preceded him in death in 1909. He was married again in 1914 to Mrs. Elizabeth Witting of Dubuque. Besides his widow he is survived by four children, Mrs. Katherine Marquardt and Otto Frederick of Arlington; Theodore Frederick of Lamont, and August Frederick, Edgewood; also 15 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; also three brothers and four sisters, John and Charles, Strawberry Point; Chris, Volga; Mrs. Mary Milheim and Mrs. Julia Manning, Oelwein; Mrs. Elizabeth Nodurft and Mrs. Eliza Waring, Strawberry Point.
