Clayton County Register, Thur., 07 May 1931.

Mrs. Charles Topel, Sr., 66, died at the Topel home east of Monona Monday after a long illness and suffering. Surviving are the widower, Charles Topel, Sr.; one daughter, Minnie (Mrs. Joseph Klima), seven sons, Bert, Elmer, Clarence, Herman, Theodore, George and Charles Topel, Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. Emma Fett and Mrs. Martin Frank; six brothers, William, John, Theodore, Emil, Herman and A. A. Schlitter. Two brothers, one sister and her father preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at one o'clock from the home and at 1:30 to the Watson Evangelical church, Rev. R. W. Berg officiating.
