Clayton County Register, Thur., 23 Apr. 1931.
Mrs. W. J. Dunn, who passed away Friday evening, April 17, at the home of her mother-in-law, Mrs. Peter Dunn, Sr., from an infection, after an illness of six days, was buried here Monday, April 20.
Mary Margaret (Feeney) Dunn was born January 14, 1906, in Highland township, the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Feeney and thus at the time of her death had reached the age of 25 years, three months and three days.
January 27, 1926, deceased was united in bonds of holy wedlock, here in Elkader, with W. J. Dunn, and since that time their residence has been on a farm in Cox Creek township. Until very recently she had enjoyed comparatively good health, until an infection set in to be followed by an illness of six days duration, which resulted in her untimely death.
Besides the sorrowing young husband, the deceased is survived by her mother, Mrs. John Feeney, three brothers, Matt, John and Francis, and three sisters, Mrs. Frank Cox, Mrs. Joe Cox and Mrs. Peter Dunn, Jr., and a large circle of more distant relatives and friends.
She was a member of St. Joseph's church here, where services were held for her Monday with her pastor, Rev. J. P. Taken, officiating. Interment was made in St. Joseph's cemetery.
