John Lenth, 79, retired farmer, died at his home here Saturday afternoon, having been in poor health during the winter and the flu and then complications caused his death. Mr. Lenth was born in Germany, May 27, 1851. Surviving are the widow, two daughters, Mrs. Olga Klinge and Miss Hilma Lenth of Monona, and three sons, Arnold Lenth of Froelich, Alfred E. Lenth of Giard and Elmer Lenth on the home fam near National. Mr. Lenth was a kind and loving husband and father and numbered his friends by his acquaintances. He will be greatly missed and the sympathy of the community is extended to the family.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 10, at 9:50 from the home and at 10 o'clock from the Lutheran Evangelical church, Rev. A. Daugs officiating, with burial in the city cemetery*.
