Obituary.
Mr Jerry Driscoll was born at Dubuque, Iowa Dec 3, 1856. When but an infant, his parents moved to North McGregor, now Marquette and purchased a farm on Bloody Run where they made their home till 1903 when he and his family moved to Oelwein.

In 1890, Mr Driscoll was united in marriage to Miss Ellen O'Brien of Charles City. 7 children; James J, John E, Dennis M, Robert J, Harry T, Vincent H and Mabel.

Sick at home, July 25, passed away July 30; age of 68.

Funeral services were held at the Sacred Heart Church Oelwein; Tuesday morning at 9AM. Rev Father Ambrosey read the mass.

His request was to be brought back to rest on the hills overlooking the Mississippi River and after the funeral services the funeral party motored to McGregor and interment took palace in Saint Mary's Cemetery. Rev J.J. Horsfield conducted the services at the grave.

His 6 sons were casket bearers. Out of town relatives and friends who were present at the funeral included: Mrs. D.D. Driscoll [Sister in Law] and daughter, Mrs Boller [Niece], Minneapolis, Mr and Mrs E. Beck [Wife's Sister and husband] and son Floyd, Miss Anna O'Brien [Wife's Sister] and Mr John O'Brien [Wife's Brother], Floyd; Mr John Driscoll [Son] Los Angeles, Ca, Mr. James Driscoll [Son] and family, Aberdeen SD, Mr. Harry Driscoll [Son], Mr. John Barnett, New Hampton, Mr. Willaim Casey [Ellen's Sister's Husband] and daughter, Catherine, Marquette and Mr. & Mrs. Jon Casey of Dubuque. 7 grandchildren were present.
