Milo L. Dundee

Milo L. Dundee, age 68, of Marquette, Iowa, died Monday evening, March 1, 2004, at the Gundersen-Lutheran Hospital in La Crosse, Wis. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 4 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in McGregor with Fr. Robert M. Hirsch officiating. Burial was in Oakland Cemetery, Waukon. Thornburg Hanson Funeral Home in McGregor assisted the family.

Milo was born in Allamakee County, Iowa, October 28, 1935, to Rance and Leta (Hamman) Dundee. He was married to Pauline Byrnes October 18, 1955, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Lansing.

Early in his life, Milo farmed in Allamakee County. Following that, he worked as a carpenter at Design Homes in Prairie du Chien for 30 years. Milo enjoyed the outdoors, especially hunting and fishing. Milo greatly enjoyed his family, especially spending time with his grandchildren.

Survivors include his wife, Pauline of Marquette; eight children, Milo (Kate) Dundee of Elkader, Larry (Pam) Dundee of Waukon, Theresa (Tim) Looney of Prairie du Chien, Lane (Yvonne) Dundee of Noblesville, Ind., Maxine (Dean) Rink of La Crosse, Wis., Barbara (Thomas) Stram of Prairie du Chien, Loren (Andrea) Dundee of Kearney, Mo., and Tracy (Tim) Stoeffler of La Crescent, Minn.; 19 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Milo was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Doris Evanson.
