Clayton County Register, Thur., 05 Feb. 1913.

Randina Gunderson, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. E. Gunderson, of Highland, died at Northwestern Hospital, Minneapolis, on Friday morning, Jan. 30. This sad message conveyed to the many relatives and friends here this sad news that a loved friend was taken away.

With her at the time of her death was her mother and sisters, and in spite of all that could be done to alley her great suffering all was in vain.

Radina Gunderson was born in Highland township, July 20, 1883, and was thus at her death 47 years, 6 months and 10 days. For the past 25 years she has made her home in the Twin Cities, but owing to failing health due to heart trouble, she has not for the past 4 years taken care of her usual work, but has up to three weeks ago been up and around taking care of the home duties at the place she lived.

She leaves to mourn her death, her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Embert Gunderson of this community and the three sisters, Mrs. Julia Lindelien, of Alexandria, Minn.; Mrs. Amelia Dale, Springfield, Ill.; and Mrs. Luella Brown, Milwaukee, Wis., also an aged grandmother, Mrs. Reier Larson, and many other relatives and friends both here and in St. Paul and Minneapolis.

The remains were brought to the parental home on Saturday, and it was from there and the Highland church that the funeral services were held on Monday afternoon, with interment in the cemetery adjoining the church, the pastor Rev. G. Gunsten officiating.

The pall bearers were six cousins, Philman, Lawrence, Maurice and Glen Larson; Clifton West and Sandy Paulson.

Regardless of the almost impassible roads the church was filled with sympathetic friends, giving evidence of the esteem the departed one and family enjoys in this community.

Of those present at the funeral from a distance were the three sisters, and Mr. Dale of Springfield, Ill. and Mr. Brown of Milwaukee, Mrs. B. A. Paulson and son Sandy and Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Swinert of New Richland, Minn., Mr. and Mrs. Simonette of LaCrosse, Wis.

(Note: Both given names Radina/Randina were used in the article.)
