Clayton County Register, Thur., 11 Sept. 1930. Garber column.

Mr. and Mrs. Henry Berns Jr., of near Garnavillo mourn the loss of their infant daughter, whose death occurred Friday. The infant was two weeks old and was the only child of Mr. and Mrs. Berns. Mrs. Berns will be remembered as Marie Matt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Albert Matt. The family have our deep sympathy in this their great loss.
