Clayton County Register, Thur., 14 Aug. 1930.
The funeral services of Mrs. William Frezona were held in the M.E. church Friday afternoon, conducted by the pastor, Rev. T. J. Elwick. Two favorite songs of the deceased were sung by Dr. and Mrs. R. W. Dutton. The pallbearers were: Chas. Blanchard, Francis Adams, Otto Feulner and B. W. Talcott. Interment took place in County Corners cemetery. Mrs. Wm. Trezont, nee Jennie L. Scrivens, was born at Arlington, Iowa, March 11, 1884, and passed away at her home in Scales Mound, Ill., Wednesday, Aug. 6, 1930, at the age of 46 years, 4 months and 25 days. In December, 1903, she was united in marriage to William J. Trezona. To this union were born five children, two preceding her in death. She leaves to mourn her departure her beloved husband, and three children, Mrs. Mildred Graber of Ft. Madison and Misses Berdina and LaVon at home, also two sisters, Mrs. Clara Manchester of Arlington and Laura, who made her home with the deceased. The greater part of her life was spent in Iowa, where she grew up and several years ago moved to Illinois with the family to complete her earthly career. Since Oct. 1928, she had been suffering from the malady that caused her death, of which time eight months were spent in bed. And so the grim reaper has taken her body but may the heavenly peace be the joy of her soul, whom she confessed to believe and appreciated in all her sufferings. Many relatives and friends mourn her departure but let us all remember that God will take care of us through all the day, over all the way, if we be still and know that he is God. May he abundantly bless us with heavenly comfort.
(Note: There were three spellings of the deceased's surname in the article, as shown. The IGPP shows a photo of the gravestone of Jennie L. Trezona, 1884 - 1930.)
