Clayton County Register, Thur., 05 June 1930.

Mr. Frank Joseph Milewsky, youngest son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Milewsky, was born Sept. 04, 1863, in Wittenberge, the province of Brandenburg. He was baptized and confirmed in the church of his home city. In 1884 he emigrated to America and settled in our county where he worked for different employers on farms.

On Feb. 02, 1888, he was united in marriage to Miss Augusta Kirschner by Rev. F. Sommerlad of St. Paul's church at Garnavillo. The young couple first settled on a farm in Clayton township and in the spring of 1901 they bought a place two miles north of Garnavillo. In 1922 they moved to town.

Six years ago he underwent a serious operation at the Postville hospital, which relived him of much distress. For about a year he suffered of a nervous ailment, and since his fall last Christmas his condition went from bad to worse; so that his faculty of speech and his memory were greatly impaired.

Sunday night he became very restless. Medical aid was summoned at once, and in these trying hours he experienced the kindness and care of his loved ones. In anticipation of the serious nature of his sickness he desired to partake of the Lord's Supper. He departed from this life early Wednesday morning at about 3:15. He had reached the age of 66 years, 7 months and 17 days. He is deeply mourned by his grief stricken widow, his eight children, Minnie, now Mrs. Chris Marting; Henry; Martha, now Mrs. Walter Dettman; Laura and Leona at home; Realto, Edwin and Edna, now Mrs. Ben Matt; 10 grandchildren and one nephew.
