The remains of John B. Norris of Manchester were brought here Friday afternoon for interment in our beautiful cemetery.
Mr. Norris was born in Newcomerstown, O., April 19, 1881, a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Norris. He moved with his parents to Independence, Ia., when 12 years of age, living there for one year, later removing to Aurora, Ia., for several years and then to Strawberry Point.
His marriage to Miss Vina Wandell of Strawberry Point took place at Manchester Feb. 20, 1901. Mr. and Mrs. Norris then moved to Strawberry Point and resided there for seven years, then moved to Edgewood, where Mr. Norris conducted a hardware store until 1919, when he disposed of his interests there and moved to Manchester. He was connected with the W. B. Miller & Son hardware store until (next line of newspaper missing) sociated with the Edgewood Oil company at Manchester.
Surviving Mr. Norris are the widow, one daughter, Mrs. Byron Borton; and one granddaughter, Betty Lou Borton, all of Manchester; one brother, Rufus C. Norris, and one sister, Mrs. Fannie A. Kramer, both of Strawberry Point.
His father, John B. Norris, preceded him in death Nov. 02, 1923, and his mother, Mrs. Eliza Norris, Dec. 02, 1926.
