Miss Gunild Johnson was born in Wagner township, November 19, 1864. She was a daughter of Fingar and Ingri Johnson, who have preceded her in death. Last October she was taken sick and brought to a hospital at Fergus Falls, where she recovered sufficiently to be brought to St. Olaf, where she had been with her brother, John F. Johnson. She gradually grew worse and on Monday, March 17th, she passed away at the age of 65 years. She leaves to mourn her death one brother, John F. Johnson, and one sister, Mrs. Gunder Rugland, 12 nieces, 12 nephews and six cousins. Funeral services were held Thursday, March 20; interment was made at the Norway cemetery, Rev. J. S.
