Since our last communication the ruthless hand of Death has been spread over our quiet little city and taken from our midst the loveliness of youth and the pride of manhood. Henry Ruble and Grace Cleghorn are with us no more; they are sleeping that sleep that knows no awakening until time with us shall be no more.

Henry Ruble's remains now rest in the beautiful cemetery at Beloit, Wis., by the side of brother Simon. They were intimately connected during their lifetime and are not separated in death.

P.N. Trahn, of Minneapolis, John Tapper, of Monona, D.E. Grout, M.L. Shugars, W.P. Hancock, M.E. Doyle and the writer accompanied the bereaved family and remains to the city of Beloit for interment, arriving there on Wednesday morning, June 20th.

We there met Mrs. Comstock, a sister, and J. Ruble and sister, nephew and niece of the deceased. Mrs. Simon Ruble, on account of ill-health, was unable to attend the funeral services, which were short and appropriate, and were conducted by the pastor of the Congregational church at the grave.

Mrs. Ruble wishes to return heartfelt thanks and gratitude to all for their kindness to her during the short and fatal sickness of her husband and more especially to S.S. Merrill, General Manager C., M. & St. P. R'y; W.B. Stong, of C., B. & Q. R'y; and M. Hughitt, Gen. Manager of Northwestern R'y, for favors granted over their lines, they having been kind enough to pass the remains and party attending them over each of their respective railways and return.
