On Thursday morning, Mrs. Carolina Jaster was found dead in bed, having been living alone for a number of years and presumably she died of old age having been nearly 88 years old. Deceased was born in Prussia, Germany, on December 1, 1832, and was married in 1851, and came to the U.S. with her husband in the year 1856. Since 1901 she has made her home in Elkport with her husband, whose death occurred in 1906. To this happy union were born twelve children, of which seven have preceded their mother in death. The funeral was held Sunday afternoon at the German Lutheran Church, Rev. P. Stolz officiating, and interment was in the Lutheran Cemetery beside her husband. The pall bearers were, Chas. Zittergreen, Fred Lund, Geo. Smith, Wm. Boehm, John Wittman and A. C. Reuschel.
