Henry Fassbinder, a pioneer resident of Jefferson township, passed away Friday after a weeks illness. He had been in failing health for some time but his condition was not considered serious. He was 68 years old at the time of his death, was born in Germany and came with his parents when a young boy, to Jefferson township, and settled on a farm. Deceased followed the occupation of a farmer until about twelve years ago, when he retired and located in Guttenberg. He leaves a wife, nee Matt, and six children: Mrs. Richard Kann, of Jefferson township, and Francis, Hilda, Hubert, Mervin and Henry, all at home. He is also survived by one brother, Gottfried, and one half-sister, Mrs. Fred Kann. His remains were laid to rest in the Catholic cemetery after services in St. Mary's Catholic Church, Monday.

Notes: Burial is in Mt. Olivet. Wife = Mathilda Matt Fassbinder who died in 1945.
