Bruce Edward Rodenberg, age 60, died Sunday, July 24, 2022, at his home in rural Guttenberg, IA. He was born on November 3, 1961 in Guttenberg IA, the son of Edward JR and LaVonne (Schroeder) Rodenberg. Bruce attended Guttenberg High School where he graduated with the class of 1980. Bruce was known for playing basketball with the Guttenberg Pirates, holding school records for many years. On September 22, 1984, Bruce married Debra Aulwes at the St. John’s Congregational Church in Garber IA and were later blessed with two children, Nicole and Bruce Jr. He was most proud of being an owner and operator of Rodenberg Trucking. In later years he worked for Oberbroeckling Enterprises and most recently Kregel Trucking. Farming was in his blood working side by side with his father. His downtime favorite hobbies, riding his Harley, watching westerns, going to tractor pulls and fishing for catfish. He enjoyed the yearly deer hunt and keeping his yard immaculate.

Bruce will be forever loved and cherished by his children; Bruce (Amber) Rodenberg Jr., Nicole (Daniel) Rodenberg and granddaughter Deklyn. Parents; Edward & LaVonne Rodenberg, sister Carla Ruegnitz. Mother and father-in-law Harold & Gloria Aulwes, and many more family and friends.

He is preceded in death by his wife Deb, brother-in-laws Craig Ruegnitz, Mike & Dennis Aulwes, paternal & maternal grandparents.
