The death of John Behn occurred near Seymour, Iowa, on Wednesday, October 27th, after an illness of several months.
Mr. Behn was born in Langendorf, Hanover, Germany, February 3rd, 1857, and came to this country when but twelve years of age. In 1896 he was married to Miss Bertha Meyer, of Cox Creek township, who, with their three children, Louise, Carl and Elmer, survive him.
The remains were taken to Mederville where the funeral services were held on Friday, Rev. Franke officiating. The sympathy of many friends in this section goes out to the widow and orphans.
