Register and Argus, 23 Sept. 1915.

Patrick Thyne was born May 4th, 1834, in Milltown, Malbay, County Clare, Ireland, and died at his home
near Volga Sept. 18th, 1915, at 6:30 p.m., aged 81 years, 4 months and 13 days.

Mr. Thyne came to America in 1870 and worked for different parties for six or seven years and then purchased some land in Sperry township, joining his brother's farm. He cultivated and improved his land and has made his home with his brother and family for the past thirty-two years.

He is survived by one sister, who lives in Clare, South Australia, also by his brother's family.

The funeral was held at Sacred Heart church in Cox Creek on Monday morning, conducted by Father Casey. The choir sang a Requiem mass and burial took place at Cox Creek cemetery.

The pall bearers were his six nephews: Austin, William, Robert, Emmet, Walter and Hubert Thyne.
